SPRING - Operating Cord

A spring is mounted in the aluminium cassette (head) of the blind. This is a popular choice especially for windows that are difficult to reach. The cord also offers some stability at sea, particularly for smaller window blinds (typically less than 1 metre width).

SPRING - Handle
A spring is mounted in the cassette. Handles are a neat option when the top and bottom of the window can be accessed easily. Depending on the width of the bottom rail, there are one or two handles mounted to the bottom rail for ease of operation.

MOTOR - AC/DC

Motorised blinds are a convenient selection, partcilularly where there are many windows in the bridge. Blinds can programmed to activate all at once or can be grouped for example; forward, aft, port and starboard blinds. Motors are available as a 12V lithium rechargeable, 12V hard wire or 240V AC mains supply. Each blind can be programmed to stop at a pre-determined height and to stop short of the cassette.

Eyebrow window solar shades

Sola-Cure manufactures custom eyebrow window covers designed to shield the skipper and crew from glare, heat, and harmful UV rays inside the wheelhouse. These covers offer full protection where standard roller blinds fall short — especially in curved or irregular window shapes.

Oleik supplies Sola-Cure eyebrow covers tailored to each vessel, ensuring a precise fit and easy installation. The covers are mounted using high-strength Velcro, making them simple to remove and reattach as needed
